Microsoft Rewards Total Prize Drop and Prize Giveaway FAQs

The promotion begins March 12, 2026, at 9:00:00 AM Pacific Time (“PT”) and ends May 21, 2026, at 11:59:59 PM PT.

There are two ways to win:

Instant Win: Each day during the promotion period members who complete one (1) search with Bing and have Bing set as the default search engine will receive one (1) chance to win one of the instant win prizes. Members will receive one (1) free chance to win one of the instant win prizes once completing the entry form. Prize list is included in the Instant Win official rules.

Sweepstakes: The Sweepstakes will award prizes to four (4) winners. There will be one grand prize of $1,000,000 USD; and three first place prizes of Mercedes-Benz cars. Members will receive one (1) free entry once completing the entry form and can earn bonus entries for completing activities. These activities can be found on the Sweepstakes entry dashboard. Full details of the sweepstakes prizes are included in the Sweepstakes official rules.

The Total Prize Drop is the name of the promotion for the markets that have both instant win and sweepstakes.

The Prize Giveaway is the name of the promotion for the markets that only have instant win available (CN, NL, SG, KR, HK).

You must be a member of the free Microsoft Rewards program at the time of each entry into the Sweepstakes, or chance to win opportunity in the Instant Win, and at the time you are awarded a prize (through the Sweepstakes or Instant Win). Yes. Each member of your household who meet the eligibility requirements listed in the official rules may enter. Sweepstakes Official Rules or Instant Win Official Rules.

Microsoft Rewards is a program that encompasses earning points, including Xbox and Bing. Rewards with Xbox accrues points towards the same Rewards account and is part of Microsoft Rewards. You can participate in the program using the same Microsoft Account you use with Xbox, subject to market availability.

The usage of multiple accounts per entrant is not permitted. Any attempt by any entrant to use multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, accounts, or any other methods in an attempt to defraud the entry process or gain additional entries will void that entrant's entries and entrant may be disqualified.

Entries are earned based on your single Microsoft account. Some bonus activities can be completed across multiple devices*, you will receive the associated amount of bonus entries as outlined in the bonus entry activity terms.

Yes. On the Microsoft Rewards redeem page, members may redeem Rewards points as follows to receive the corresponding number of entries into the Sweepstakes Draw: 

1,000 Microsoft Rewards points = 4 Sweepstakes entries 

2,000 Microsoft Rewards points = 7 Sweepstakes entries 

5,000 Microsoft Rewards points = 15 Sweepstakes entries

Grand Prize (1 available): One (1) prize of $1,000,000.00 USD (One Million Dollars) in cash, awarded via wire transfer to a qualified bank account in the Prize Winner’s name that permits and accepts international wire transfers.

There will be one (1) Sweepstakes Grand Prize of $1,000,000.00 USD (One Million Dollars) in cash and three (3) first prizes of $170,000.00 USD to be used towards a Mercedes-Benz vehicle to be selected by the Winner that is available at an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership in the Winner’s jurisdiction.

The Potential Winner will be contacted by phone, email and/or mail at the address, email, or telephone number provided with the entry, with instructions on how to claim their prize. For clarity, the Sponsor (or its agent) may utilize only one (1) of the foregoing methods of contact, or more than one (1) method, in its sole discretion. Potential Winner will be required to execute and return a W8-BEN form in addition to a Declaration of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and, where lawful, a publicity release (each such document being a restatement and confirmation of certain aspects of the Official Rules) prior to being awarded a prize; except that a Potential Winner who is an eligible resident of the United States, the District of Columbia or Puerto Rico will instead be required to execute and return a W9 form in addition to an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and, where lawful, a publicity release.

In the event the Potential Winner is an eligible resident of Canada or Mexico, they must also first correctly answer, unaided, a mathematical skill-testing question to be administered online, or through another means selected by the Sponsor.

Documents must be executed and returned within seven (7) calendar days from the time they are received by the Potential Winner, or the applicable prize may be forfeited. If the Potential Winner is determined by Sponsor, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, to be ineligible or not in compliance with the Official Rules, declines to accept a prize, or Sponsor is unable to contact the Potential Winner within three (3) calendar days, or in the event that a prize notification or prize is returned undeliverable, the prize may be forfeited at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. Potential Winner may be required to furnish proof of identification acceptable to the Sponsor.

All federal, state, provincial, county and local taxes (including income and withholding taxes), if any, as well as any other costs and expenses associated with prize acceptance and use not specified in the Official Rules as being provided are each Winner’s responsibility, regardless of whether a prize is used in whole or in part.
